i've been scooped!

TimO over at AZNetroots has just let us know that Vote Vets has produced their great ad targeting Jon Kyl. I first posted about it here. I think this will be a real map-changer in the Arizona Senate race. Let's see Kyl try to worm his way out of this one.

Now without further ado, the ad:

Now go thank Vote Vets for airing the ad in Arizona and also send some love Pederson's way. Also, the ads were all produced by Arizona-based marketing firm The Media Guys. They really do top-notch work (this ad has been called "the best ad this cycle" by none other than Kos).

Comments:
I think it may be a mistake to air this ad. It is not really accurate. That could backfire on us.

It's not as if there aren't a hell of a lot of other represhensible votes by Kyl which effective told the military to pound sand.

Not a mistake at all. Media Matters refutes the FactCheck report, on which the AZ Republic's article was based. Bottom line: the FactCheck report itself was misleading and inaccurate.

I wouldn't feel bad, I'd been waiting for this ad to come our way so I kept checking.

I too am a little cautious about the ad, and there are plenty of Vet votes that Kyl went against that could be used, but with all the BS Kyl and Hayworth throw around, I'm can live
with it!

The thing that keeps nagging me in the polls is the high number of Dems voting for Kyl! Like 19%! That is insane! Who did Pederson screw to get numbers like that?

Tim O.

Too many Michaels!

I also still don't understand how Kyl is outpolling Pederson in Tucson and Flagstaff, with Pederson ever-so-slightly outpolling Kyl in Phoenix. It seems topsy-turvy to me, and nobody has offered an explanation as yet.

Could it be that this race is just too hard to poll? Could have to do with how Kyl has successfully flown under the radar for so long. Most people don't know him, haven't heard of him, and just assume that he's doing a good job. I mean, if nobody's raised a stink about him before, the powers that be must be satisfied with the job he's doing, and that's good enough for Joe Average. Nobody knows the extremist shit he's pulled in his 20 years in Washington. He's never had a strong enough opponent to redefine him to the electorate.

Jim Pederson and the independent expenditure committees like Vote Vets need to pull the mask away and reveal the monster underneath. And I use that demonizing language intentionally. This isn't tea time at the Rainbow Room. Kyl's going to unleash everything he's got in the next month or so. Pederson needs to strike early and often.

Yea, Kyl is like the Invisible Man for 5 years and all of a sudden this year he's in the AZ Republican more than Bennifer, Paris Hilton, and Luis Gonzales combined.

Editorials, Letters, new Senate Bills every week, this guy is whoring big time and the Republic is more than happy to accomodate.

Turnout, turnout, turnout and independents.

I just showed my 13 year old son this video.

Quote,"Creepy. . . , why did he vote against it?"

Out of the mouths of babes.

The fact that the ad is accessible to a young teenager speaks volumes. It's simple and to the point. And that question is the same one a lot of independents will start asking themselves.
